JAVA developer

We are looking for a senior JAVA developers to add to our team.  Your main responsibilities will be development of JAVA portlets  on various Java-based platforms (Hybris, LifeRay,...).

What we are looking for:
Your past experience will ideally include working with some eCommerce platform or Spring/Hybernate Framework as a senior developer. Even if you haven't worked on those before, but have strong Java programming skills and experience in another Java framework, we still want to hear from you!
 
Our basic requirements are:
• At least two years of demonstrable practical experience in Java EE development. 
• A thorough understanding of OOP principles, practices and common design patterns and practical applications thereof is expected. A certain level of general Linux administration knowledge is welcome.
• Ideally, you will have had previous experience in developing or maintaining large applications in high-load, high-availability scenarios. 
 
You will have a proven track record of being able to adapt to new technologies and a pronounced passion for learning new things. 
 
You will also have previous experience working in small, agile development teams. Past experience in large multinational environments is a plus. 
 
Your code:
Should be written with performance in mind, without sacrificing maintainability.
Should follow security standards and best practices. 
Should follow DRY and KISS principles. 
Should be as self-documenting as possible and well commented, focusing on "the why" rather than "the what".
Should be coded against the platform, having the "big picture" in mind. (We value spending two extra days on research and planing over spending two extra days on fixing unnecessary bugs and unforeseen conflicts)
 
Our selection process:
After initial screening and shortlisting, all candidates that satisfy our criteria will be invited for an on-site interview.
You will be asked to write code on spot (bring your laptop!). You will be asked to solve problems. You will be asked to elaborate on your solution proposals.
You won't be asked silly questions. You won't be judged by your formal education (even though a college degree is a plus!). You won't be expected to perform miracles.
