Senior Software Developer (m/f)
 
About you
The successful candidate will be an experienced software developer who will contribute to the design, build and maintenance of CloudSense’s leading products. Development activity will be primarily on the force.com platform and standard web technologies (in particular Javascript) for use in server side, web and mobile contexts. In addition there are opportunities to work with Java and other web-related development technologies on the Heroku platform.
 
Key responsibilities
- Working with architects to analyze requirements, designing and building solutions to contribute to the development of product portfolio; 
- lead software development activities providing assistance and guidance to junior members; 
- working with the test team to help define testing approach for new deliverables and ensuring the team resolves issues discovered during the testing period;  
- analyzing and resolving issues reported by project teams and customers in a timely fashion; 
- following best practice in developing and maintaining code, including the writing of unit tests during the development process and the use of source control mechanisms; 
- producing technical documentation as required.
 
Your qualification
- 6+ years of professional experience of software development; 
- experience as a lead in a project team of at least three people; 
- excellent English spoken and written; able to write technical documents in clear English; 
- able to work under own initiative; 
- talent for problem solving and well-organized approach to work.
 
Technical qualification
- Strong experience in Java, C# or .Net familiarity with OO design; 
- extensive experience with web-based development and relevant frameworks including MVC framework (e.g. Spring, .Net); 
- working knowledge of UML, with the ability to produce diagrams; 
- good knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery); 
- experience in analyzing complex requirements and designing new software; 
- understanding of software development lifecycle; 
- understanding of commercial processes and the role of software development within a business; 
- experience of SVN, Git or equivalent source control system.
