Senior UI/UX dizajner

Are you passionate about creating awesome new products which could change the world?

Farmeron is looking for top of the class Senior UI/UX designer to join our growing team and share our passion for making a dent in the world through sophisticated, exciting and beautiful web-based farm business management tools.

Farmeron’s UI/UX designers are involved in every step of the product development cycle: from imagining new features to mockup wireframing to pushing pixels behind our market-leading products. As a senior designer, you will be involved in product design, user interaction design and visual design activities throughout different organizational teams. You will be closely working with the Product Strategy and Product Management to further improve Farmeron’s user experience and interface. Your ideas, mockups and designs will have a huge impact on the way our products get developed, delivered and used by farmers throughout the world.

Farmeron is focused on delivering software solutions for holistic, cloud-based farm business management. We’re touching lives of thousands of farmers throughout the world, and you will be in charge of delighting our customers with bold new products which could change the way they perform their operations even further. Helping farmers to become more successful, profitable and happier will be on the top of your priority list. Farmer will trust the product you design – with his/her business.

We need you to be agile, sharp and efficient. With no excuses. You will be held accountable for your work. We do not want blind instruction-followers, and we will expect you to challenge every decision made in the course of the day. You will be firefighter, evangelist and storyteller. If you have farming friends, family or relatives – you will be asked to reach out to them and ask them to try out the product you’ll be building. But all of this is what makes us go forward every day – so remember before applying: you’ll be joining a group of people deeply devoted to friendship, loyalty, knowledge and radical innovation.

*** CV alert ***
We think that resumes/CVs are useless. Yeah, you can send us one. But we would rather see a short story about your life so far and the projects you’ve been working on. Try hard. Tell us what drives you – and tell us how do you see yourself being part of our company.

Assignments

1) Working time. Believe it or not – every farm actually has a working time, so you need to think of a way for a user to enter this info into Farmeron app. Be careful, a lot of things depend on this piece of data (like feeding routines, daily milkings etc.) Some more important stuff: working time is shorter on weekends, and there are couple of half working days and even totally free days during the year (don’t worry, cows are then automatically fed by Farmeron super robots.) Also, every farm worker works under a twice-a-day contract: morning shift, break and then the afternoon shift.

2) Milk price. Farmer sells his/her milk to different buyers, and you need to figure out the interface which would allow farmer to define different milk prices for different buyers. Remember: some farmers define prices with tax included, and some of them don’t care about taxes. Also, farmers are giving discounts to certain buyers.
You’re absolutely free to solve these tasks using whatever method you want: we’ll take wireframes, artworks, UX stories – bring it on!
